The beautiful experience of my second time trip to the Holy Land will linger for a lifetime because I went after  just finishing the BLOGGING-U photo101 course. The trip was an opportunity to exercise my photography skills after having finished the course…and yes I did take pictures. :D.

My Holyland bliss #2; Beauty in the Dead Sea.

Before I share the photos , Let me tell you some facts about the Dead Sea.

-The Dead Sea bordering Israel, the West bank, and Jordan, it is a small lake and its banks are more than 400m below sea level. It  is famous for its hyper-saline salinity which makes for floating easily.

The mineral -rich black mud is a beauty resource for therapeutic and cosmetic treatment.

*The Dead Sea surface and shores are about 423 metres below sea level, making it the lowest place on Earth.

*The hyper salinity of the sea makes it the only sea with the highest saline level surpassing that of ocean water.

*With about 33% salinity, the Dead sea is one of the world’s saltiest body of water.

*As a result of the unusual high salt concentration, people can easily float in it dur to natural buoyancy.

*The Dead Sea lies in the Jordan Rift Valley and its main tributary is the Jordan River.

*The Dead Sea area has become a major center for health, beauty and cosmetic research.

Biblically, the Dead Sea was a place of refuge for king David.

The popular product powered by the energising Dead Sea, is the *Ahava Dead Sea Minerals.

We sure had fun floating, mud masking and even some mudlovin :D.

BTW, I didn’t float it in though, but had fun catching others with my candid camera.

Hey I’m Back.

Oops, this picture is up sideways.! waiting at the airport in Tel-Aviv.

Hello, fellow bloggers, friends, readers, followers and the blogosphere in general! It’s great to be back here after a while. I went on a trip to Israel with my Husband. It’s the first time in the 13years of marriage that we travelled abroad together.

It was indeed an awesome experience for both of us spiritually, maritally, and every other “ally”.

Well, I am back to the blogging zone and I will be sharing some of our Israel experience as the days unfold. I missed you all, though. :-), I had to deliberately decide not to do any writing all through the trip so that I could savour every bit of the trip with my Husband.

I can see I have a lot of catching up to do, with my mail box filled with new posts from other bloggers I follow.

Great to be back and see you around. Here are some photo experience,I hope to share more as times goes on.
